Here's a pretty nice Mermen SBD show from a few months ago at Oakland's Stork Club. Good example of their repertoire with a couple Shi-Tones crossovers:

thanks, i'll check your suggestion out, havent checked any recent Mermen shows out as yet; i keep returning again and again to this work of art:

So many great instrumentals in this show, check out the utterly fantastic version of 'Silly Elephant Who Stomped To Tea', and follow that up with 'Within You Without You' > 'Burn' > 'Unto The Resplendent'.

i'm still waiting for the Mermen to head east into new england, but i think that will never happen

Oh yeah. Great performance and nice recording. Hard for me to choose a favorite moment. Like the Dead, when they're on, they're on.
It would be nice if they could tour farther away but they seem content up and down the CA coast all these years.
I hope you get a chance to see them someday.
